Somewhere in your forties, the menu starts drifting a little farther away and your arm isn’t quite long enough anymore. That’s presbyopia, and it catches up with just about everyone in Paulding County sooner or later. Progressive lenses fix it without the tell-tale line of your grandfather’s bifocals — one smooth lens that goes from distance at the top, through arm’s-length in the middle, down to reading up close.
The catch with progressives is that they only work when they’re measured right. A few millimeters off and the “sweet spots” don’t land where your eyes actually sit. That’s why we like to fit them in person: we measure your pupils and exactly where they land in the frame, so the lens is built around your face, not a guess.

Will I get used to them?
Most people adjust within a few days once the lenses are measured correctly — that’s the whole reason we fit them in person. If something feels off, bring them back and we’ll check the fit.
Can you put progressives in my current frame?
Usually, yes, as long as the frame is deep enough and structurally sound. Bring it by and we’ll take a look before you commit.
How long do progressives take?
Longer than our same-day single-vision pairs, since they’re custom-ground — we’ll give you a real date when you order, no runaround.
