The Vogue VO5696S in Transparent Light Blue is the polarized version of this square Vogue silhouette. The front is a translucent blue-green nylon that catches light instead of blocking it, and the temples are finished in solid green with the Vogue Eyewear logo running along the side.
The lenses are what separate this colorway from the rest of the range. Polarized grey gradient polycarbonate cuts the glare coming off wet roads, car hoods and water, so these hold up as driving sunglasses and not only as sun protection. The gradient runs darker at the top and lighter toward the bottom, which leaves you able to read a dashboard or a menu without pushing them up onto your head.
At M 55-18-140 this is a medium fit with a wide frame and a high bridge, cut for an oval or round face. The high bridge is worth noting if standard frames tend to slide down on you. Nylon keeps the weight low for a frame this size, so it stays comfortable across a full day rather than leaving marks by the afternoon.
Prescription lenses can be added during checkout, progressives included, and anti-reflective coating comes with every lens order at no extra charge.
